A Call for Collaboration, Cooperation, and Convergence to Attract the Next Generation of NDT Talent

The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) industry stands at a pivotal moment. As infrastructure ages, advanced technologies emerge, and industrial demands grow, the need for highly skilled NDT professionals has never been more critical. I don’t want to lead you to believe that the industry is doing a bad job; Canada is currently training and certifying more inspectors than at any time in the past. Yes, we can always do better, get faster, and become more efficient, but when I look at the work that QCCC, NRCan, CWB, and our college partners are doing, I think we are in good hands. I do believe that a challenge is looming, and a talent gap is always around the corner, but the alarm I am sounding is about opportunity!
