In Defence of Caution: Why Questioning AI in NDT Is Not Luddism

Whenever someone in a technical field urges caution about a new technology, there is a predictable risk: being labelled a Luddite. I am well aware that by questioning the rapid deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) into non-destructive testing (NDT) and other life-safety systems, I may invite accusations of being anti-progress, anti-innovation, or "afraid of the future."
