WAAM Steel Procedure Qualification with Submerged Arc Welding
WAAM Steel Procedure Qualification with Submerged Arc Welding
When any new alloy or metal product form enters the commercial market, an important step for industry towards the adoption of the material will be to better understand its weldability and to develop and qualify welding procedures to ensure structural integrity for specific engineering applications. One such new alloy and product form is WAAM steel – a material made from steel-alloy feedstock wire that has been printed using Directed Energy Deposition - Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (DED-WAAM).
