The Beaver-Dam Diffusion Model: A Welder’s Guide to Crack Resistance

This paper is a follow-up to the Beaver Dam Diffusion Model recently published in the Spring WELD edition. It will explain how crack resistance develops at the crack tip and how welding variables determine whether the internal dam system remains intact or fails.
