Curriculum ideas in order to achieve Metal Fabricator skills required by Industry
Overview
In August of 2012, Valentin Bolsterli was hired by Fleming College as a coordinator/professor with the mandate to develop a Welder/Fabricator program in order to alleviate some of the challenges brought forth by local industry. This program was set up as a two-year welder/fabricator program where the first-year students could graduate with some CWB welding tickets, additional fit up skills, as well as the soft skills required by industry. Those who chose to complete the two years, graduated with enhance theoretical understanding as well as having applied their knowledge in building an actual "pressure vessel".
