Topics include, describing the static and dynamic characteristics of welding power sources, distinguishing between conductors and insulators, describing the evolution of welding power sources, and more.

This course is suitable for anyone looking to gain professional knowledge in welding, metal fabrication, or quality assurance as either a welding practitioner, engineer, metallurgist, or someone simply looking for more knowledge on the topic.

Successful completion of PSFW-301 meets the requirement of partial credit given towards the Level 2 welding inspector program. Learners wanting to stack this micro credential to complete the Level 2 welding inspector program must also complete all 11 designated micro credentials found in the attached L2 pathways document.

Mode of Delivery

This is an online self-directed course. Upon successful completion of all online lessons and achieving 70% or above on the course quiz, learners will receive a course completion certification with 8 PDH's.

Powered by D2L's Brightspace Learning Management System, upon enrollment learners will have 90-day access to complete all online lessons, and access digital books, exams, and course material.
