CWA Engage - March 2014

This month, extensive articles on Flux Cored Arc (FCAW) will fill the pages. Developed in the early 50s, FCAW was created as an alternative to the widely used shield metal arc welding process. Although both processes continue to be used to this day for various welding projects and personal preferences, FCAW does have some benefits such as no shielding gas required, high deposition rate and even limited cleaning of metals ahead of time.

Articles Include:

  • Solid Wire Versus Flux Cored Wire
  • How Flux-Cored Arc Welding Works
  • Flux-Cored Wire Selection
  • Tips for Avoiding Common Flux-Cored Problems
  • FCAW: Wire Welding in the Structural Steel World
  • and more ...
