From structural steel, cold formed steel, concrete to structural aluminum, various building codes, CSA standards and certification requirements are applicable. To assist the industry better understand welding certification requirements referenced in various codes and standards, the CWB has compiled relevant excerpts from all currently published CSA standards into reference guides.
To further help the industry, the CWB has developed suggested wording for specifiers and structural engineers for inclusion in contract specifications to assist in the proper references to welding certification requirements.
The use of Canadian Standards and third-party conformity assessment can only benefit Canadian industry and enhance public safety.
