The CWB Association is committed to creating a safe space for growth and education to strengthen our membership by encouraging awareness. The LGBTQ2S+ community is a vibrant and essential part of our community and the CWB Association wants to support them in the welding industry across Canada. June is Pride Month, and we encourage you to actively promote and engage in equality, inclusion, and diversity as a priority all year long.

Today’s guest is Puddy Wheatley,  Sales Manager from Hypertherm. Puddy is originally from England and has extensive welding knowledge from an early age.  We cannot thank Puddy enough for allowing us to be an ally for her and sharing her transition journey as a Trans-Female in the welding industry with us. Puddy explains to us that finding an ally in her workspace allowed her to feel safe to be her true self and shares how companies can become more inclusive and diverse with their employees. Hypertherm's contributions to the welding industry are immense and they continue to be an industry leader.
