Applying Resistance-based Sintering to Produce Magnetic Materials for Electric Mobility Drive Systems
Applying Resistance-based Sintering to Produce Magnetic Materials for Electric Mobility Drive Systems
Resistance-based sintering offers the potential to work with a wide range of magnetic material systems to create near-net shape products, all at production rates (million components per machine per year) necessary for EV motor components. Candidate components include permanent magnets as well as core laminations. The approach is compatible with today’s automotive manufacturing plants, requires no special chambers, and offers near 100% utilization of the metal powders.
