Introduction to Welding Processes

This course covers the classification of welding processes and describes the principles and the equipment used for gas tungsten arc welding, shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, flux cored arc welding and submerged arc welding. The advantages, limitations and applications of each process are identified. The classification systems for electrodes, electrode-gas and electrode-flux combinations and the requirements for the handling of electrodes, gases and fluxes are described.

Pre-Requisites: There are no prerequisites for this course.

Upon successful completion of the course the participant will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

This course will be available for 90 days from the date of registration.

If you wish to challenge the CWB Inspector Level 1 course exams (mid-term + final exam), you can do that as long as you purchase one Inspector Level 1 mini course (like this one) and all the course material required for the Inspector Level 1 course (Level 1 Textbook + Inspector Took kit + Practical Welding Inspector Textbook).

For certification requirements please review the CSA W178.2 certification service.
