CEDO (Certified Exposure Device Operator)

Course Overview

This course will provide the knowledge and background for successful participants to challenge the EDO CGSB examinations. This comprehensive course covers the theoretical applications of radiation safety and protection techniques. The CWB Education NDE advantage is: The theoretical subject matter, supplemented by evening assignments, quizzes and practical instruction will allow both the participant and instructor to monitor progress and help the students prepare for the closed book examination held on the final afternoon of the course.

CWB Education NDE Training courses meet the requirements of CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2006 and PCP-09.

  • The required class material will be taught by seasoned industry professionals with extensive hands-on experience in broad disciplines of manufacturing and primary metal producing industries.
  • Upon successful completion of the course the participant will receive a Certificate and an examination Transcript (minimum passing grade of 70% is required along with 100% attendance is mandatory).
  • Successful completion of the course meets the training requirements as specified by NRCan to challenge the Radiography |Level I examination.
  • A detailed workbook will be provided to each participant.
  • An opportunity to network with industry professionals.
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Ontario based course only)
  • It is required that students have successfully completed an NDE Math exam (passing mark of 75%) prior to taking the course.

Students must have the following for first day of class:

  • Current copy of CWB Education NDE Foundation documents
  • Calculator (scientific)
