CWA Engage - June 2014

This month, the focus is one of the most delicate and complicated welding processes out there: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) or TIG.

What makes this process unique is that is uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. GTAW is widely used to weld thin sections of soft alloys like aluminum and stainless steels. With over 40 welding processes, GTAW is one of the hardest to master because of it requires a high level dexterity and a keen attention to detail.

Articles Include:

  • TIG Solution to Weld Various Pipe & Tube
  • Remote Hand controls for the field
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding
  • Tips for improving GTAW productivity
  • and more ...
