Is a carbon steel pipe acceptable for an oxygen line 1 1/2 dia. between an automatic switch over system (7 bottles) and let’s say 5 drops (outlets) for oxy fuel cutting?

The short answer is below 200 psi and normal temperatures (not hooked to a liquid system only high-pressure cylinders) the carbon steel is ok as long as it has been cleaned for oxygen service. The 1.5 inch diameter is plenty. You really need to make sure all regulators, valves and gauges are oxygen compatible. Plus !!!! Reclean the pipe for oxygen service
