CWB Group to host its second virtual Welding Industry Day on February 9, 2021

December 18, 2020

Following the success of the first event, CWB Group delivers another opportunity for the industry benefit from our new virtual offerings

Milton, ON- The CWB Group is the source of excellence in welding, and we are committed to sharing our knowledge and passion for the industry. We rely on client and member feedback to make organizational decisions and are excited to announce that we will be hosting our second virtual Welding Industry Day on an easy-to-use and interactive platform. Our past events have been hugely successful, and we saw a need to give the industry a safe space to engage and collaborate during a time where we could all benefit from positive interactions.  The event will be hosted on February 9, 2021 from 12pm to 3pm EST (subject to change), and registration is already open! Visit https://weldingindustryday.easyvirtualfair.com/prefair to sign up to secure a spot today.

You will receive an email with details on how to sign-in closer to the event. Our event will serve to provide industry professionals with a combination of extraordinary convenience, technical presentations, networking opportunities, and content that is relevant to local businesses at no cost to attend.

We're also happy to announce that as always, attendees will be able to participate in a live virtual expo with exhibits from our sponsors where you can connect with suppliers as you would during our live events. As we launch this new era of events, we hope to combine the elements you have come to expect from us and deliver a bigger and better event!

WID focuses on promoting the industry's health locally and works to serve Canada as a whole. With a strong commitment towards being leaders that affect positive change for the ongoing improvement of the sector, we are confident that events such as these will attract new people to the trade. This event's main objective is to share information and gain valuable insights about the advancements and innovations in welding, learn how to improve productivity at work during these unprecedented times, and allow young professionals to connect and network with seasoned welders and mentors for guidance and future job prospects.

"With the evolving health crisis, organizations are recognizing how important collaboration really is. With working remotely, our industry has been more disconnected from each other than ever before, and part of adjusting to this new norm has been to find new ways to interact and learn from each other. With the positive feedback that we received from our first virtual Welding Industry Day, we are very excited to be returning for a second event. We guarantee that you'll have the same fulfilling experience you did the first time around with presentations geared towards welders on the shop floor and much more," said Michael Stewart, Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President, Corporate Services at the CWB Group.

We are confident that this shift to an online platform will offer the flexibility that the industry is looking for while mitigating any risk of transmission. 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us, but the CWB Group remains committed to the well-being and success of the skilled trades, and with another event such as WID, we hope to provide some relief from the everyday stresses of the pandemic.

We hope to see you at the event and, until then, stay safe.
