N.S. Department of Public Works Steel Bridge Western is certified to CSA Standard W47.1 “Certification of companies for fusion welding of steel” in Division 2 and, therefore, does meet the requirements of CSA S6 “Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code” Clause A10.1.5.5.

CSA S6 Clause A10.1.5.5: “Fabricators and erectors responsible for welding structures fabricated or erected under this Code (including steel piles, railings and guards, or other welded attachments) shall meet the requirements of CSA W47.1 (Division 1 or Division 2).”
