Registration Terms & Conditions

CWB will provide registration services within its scope of accreditation.

Granting registration

Audit files are reviewed after audits (i.e., Stage 1, Stage 2) prior to the granting of registration. Registration may be refused and delayed if not all requirements have been met.

Maintaining and renewing registration

The Implementor must allow the periodic audits of the Management System.

  • The first surveillance audit after Registration will be no more than twelve (12) months from registration decision date. Subsequent surveillance audits shall be at least once in each twelve (12) month period.
  • Re-Registration audits should be conducted and successfully completed two to three months prior to the date of expiration in order to ensure that all processes are complete and requirements met prior to the date of expiration.

Withdrawal

CWB Registration may suspend, withdraw, cancel or terminate a Registration for any of the following reasons:

  1. the required corrective action(s) have not been completed by the Implementor within the specified time period;
  2. a surveillance Audit indicates that the Implementor is not in conformance with the requirements and such non-conformance is, in CWB Registration's sole discretion, of a serious nature;
  3. receipt of a formal request by the Implementor for a Registration to be suspended, withdrawn, cancelled or terminated;
  4. the Implementor no longer supplies the product, process or services for which it is was granted a Registration;
  5. the Implementor does not or cannot ensure conformance to the new and/or revised requirements of the applicable standard(s);
  6. the Implementor fails to meet any of its obligations of the Agreement or otherwise breaches the Agreement between CWB Registration, and;
  7. the Implementor fails to pay the Fees or Travel Expenses within ninety (90) days of receipt of invoice, provided that CWB Registration has provided the Implementor with prior written notice of its failure to pay.

Upon the occurrence of any of the foregoing events, CWB Registration shall notify the Implementor by registered letter or equivalent means of CWB Registration's decision to suspend, withdraw, cancel or terminate the Registration. Upon receipt of notice, the Implementor shall immediately discontinue use of all advertising matter that contains any reference to CWB Registration and return any Registration documents as required by CWB Registration.

CWB Registration may also publish notification of any suspensions, withdrawals, cancellations or terminations of any Registrations.

Expanding the scope of registration

In response to an application for extension to the scope of a certification already granted, CWB Registration will undertake a review of the application and determine if any audit activities are necessary to decide whether or not the extension may be granted. This may be conducted in conjunction with a surveillance audit.

Suspending, withdrawing, or reducing the scope of registration

CWB Registration shall suspend certification in cases when, for example: the client's certified management system has persistently or seriously failed to meet certification requirements, including requirements for the effectiveness of the management system; the certified client does not allow surveillance or recertification audits to be conducted at the required frequencies; the certified client has voluntarily requested a suspension.

Under suspension, the Implementor's management system registration is temporarily invalid.

CWB Registration may reduce the scope of certification to exclude the parts not meeting the requirements, when the Implementor has persistently or seriously failed to meet the registration requirements for those parts of the scope of registration.

Restoring registration

Withdrawn or terminated registrations will require a new registration process (Stage 1 and Stage 2).

Suspended clients, or those with reduced scope may require a full or partial audit to restore registration.
