Module 33 - Welded Trusswork

The emphasis of this module is on the developing a sound understanding of the structural requirements of truss joints in order to achieve sound and efficient welding design. The module reviews light and heavy truss sections, open-web steel joists and hollow structural sections. Basic formulae and methods used to calculate size and lengths of welds are also presented for a variety of truss joints.
