Module 20 - Structure and Properties of Metals

This module is not specific to any one metal but covers metals in general, emphasizing the relation between the metal’s fundamental properties and its welding behaviour. The structure of metals and how these effect the way metal reacts to welding are discussed. Alloying of metals and how information can be extracted from Phase Diagrams is also reviewed.
