Module 17 - Surface Inspection

Surface inspection methods are not complex, but a firm understanding of their application and types of defects that they can detect are key to the successful inspection of a weld. After reviewing this module the reader will have a sound understanding of the principles of Liquid Penetrans (LPI), Magnetic Particle (MPI), and other methods such as Eddy Current and Leak Testing used to inspect welds.
