Module 11 - Basic Inspection Technology

This module provides the reader with a general overview of weld inspection techniques. A general description of visual inspection, radiography, magnetic particle (MPI), ultrasonic(UT), liquid penetrants (LPI) and acoustic emission are reviewed. After completing this module users will have be in a position to understand the basics of the inspection methods and interpret the information provided by an Inspector on a weld inspection report.
