A new university for Milton is great news: CWB Group CEO
The Canadian Welding Bureau Group (CWB Group) is fully supportive of today’s announcement (October 26, 2016) by the Government of Ontario regarding new, university led post-secondary sites in both Milton and Brampton focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM).
“The CWB Group is headquartered in Milton, and from a business perspective, this is very positive for the Town of Milton, which is one of Canada’s fastest growing communities,” said Doug Luciani, President and CEO of the Canadian Welding Bureau Group. “And for us, being a national educational provider of Acorn – a standardized welding curriculum, whenever there’s an investment to create jobs, grow our economy and expand post-secondary education, the CWB Group will always be supportive.”
The Government of Ontario will invest up to $180 million in the new post-secondary sites and call for proposals will commence in January 2017.
