Welding Technologist/Engineer

The Welding Technologist/Engineer – CWB Consulting is responsible to either conduct retained Welding Engineers visits or in assisting the Welding Engineer in completing quarterly visits, and reports at our retained CWB clients; assist in the generation of welding procedures, conduct training programs and complete technical/consulting projects.

This position reports to the Manager, CWB Consulting and will work out of their home office in Ontario. Travel can be expected for approximately 2 weeks per month.

The following are the qualifications:

  • 5 years experience in the Welding Fabrication, Inspection industry, or in Welding education
  • Technical background and technical knowledge of the welding and joining industry
  • Welding Engineering Technician/Technologist or C.E.T. diploma required
  • Professional Engineer accreditation an asset
  • Accredited Welding engineer under requirements of CSA W47.1, W47.2, W186 an asset
  • CSA 178.2 Level 1 or 2 Inspectors Qualifications an asset
  • CWB Welding Supervisor Qualification or prior Supervisory/Managerial experience an asset
  • Experience in theoretical and/or practical welder training an asset
  • Prior experience working in a QA/QC environment an asset
  • Prior experience auditing existing Quality Management Systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work with computers on a regular basis
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, must be able to travel in territory, use of personal vehicle is required.

Le technologue / ingénieur en soudage - CWB Consulting est responsable d'effectuer les visites des ingénieurs en soudage retenus ou d'aider l'ingénieur en soudage à effectuer des visites trimestrielles et de faire rapport à nos clients de la CCB retenus; aider à la génération de procédures de soudage, mener des programmes de formation et réaliser des projets techniques / de consultation.

 

Ce poste relève du gestionnaire, CWB Consulting et travaillera à partir de leur bureau à domicile en Ontario. Le voyage peut être prévu pendant environ 2 semaines par mois.

Voici les qualifications:

• 5 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie de la soudure, de l'inspection ou de la formation en soudage
• Formation technique et connaissance technique de l'industrie du soudage et de l'assemblage
• Technicien / Technologue en génie du soudage ou C.E.T. diplôme requis
• Accréditation d'ingénieur professionnel un atout
• Ingénieur de soudage accrédité selon les exigences des normes CSA W47.1, W47.2, W186, un atout
• Qualifications des inspecteurs CSA 178.2 niveau 1 ou 2, un atout
• Qualification de superviseur en soudage de la CCB ou expérience antérieure en supervision / gestion, un atout
• Expérience en formation théorique et / ou pratique de soudeur un atout
• Expérience antérieure de travail dans un environnement AQ / CQ un atout
• Expérience préalable en audit de systèmes de gestion de la qualité existants
• Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles, de communication et de présentation
• Capacité à travailler avec un minimum de supervision
• Capacité de travailler régulièrement avec des ordinateurs
• Posséder un permis de conduire valide, pouvoir voyager sur le territoire, l'utilisation d'un véhicule personnel est requise.
